I recently went on a shopping spree. First the NIkon 16-35mm f/4 VR and now the Nikon 70-300mm VR. I took the lens with me to the local laundry mat and took a few pictures.

I am happy this lens arrived on my doorstop this morning. Its a very quick lens that I will have with me for a long time.

(all images were simply stamped with the toy camera effect in Aperture 3, nothing else)

So I decided to have a little me time and attend one of the biggest photography shows on this planet. If you are not so interested in anything but images I would not continue. For those who can handle it ( and have a good internet speed ) please click and continue!

I am going to receive one of the best cameras on Saturday. The camera is the Nikon D700.

I ordered the camera.

I ordered the Grip.

I ordered an extra battery and 2 4GB cards.

I ordered the 50mm 1.4.

The Combo ran me about $3,700 which is completely insane and if my family is reading this I apologize. I know I am out of my mind. But with no college degree and being a technician will not pay the bills forever. I will take over the world. One city at a time.

I am so incredibly happy about the opportunity to change the way I have been shooting and these 2 months without a camera has felt so painful yet refreshing. I want to shoot so bad I would like to thank Alan and JP for letting me borrow their cameras when it was hard.

I am going to be such a picture whore when I get this thing.

Proud Nikon Owner

I have owned the amazing new phone since the 11th and now I have 40+ Apps on it. I enjoy the new 2.0 software and the ability to do so many things without having to use the safari app. I had a lot of questions the first few days “is it faster” etc and I did not know because I dont think I opened safari until the 3rd or 4th day of owning it.
