Photomatix HDR

Goodbye Photomatix

Goodbye to a software that no longer has a place in my workflow.

I am removing the super HDR look from all of my portfolio images. I just wanted to share an idea of what I am talking about. I like doing HDRs so I had to come to a compromise with myself ;)

Top is the original HDR done with Photomatix and the bottom is the new HDR with Nik HDR Efex Pro.

Let me know what you think. So far the response has been a positive one.

Blame Game

Things used to be, now they're not Anything but us is who we are Disguising ourselves as secret lovers We’ve become public enemies We walk away like strangers in the street Gone for eternity We erased one another So far from where we came With so much of everything, how do we leave with nothing Lack of visual empathy equates the meaning of L-O-V-E Hatred and attitude tear us entirely

At the end of it you know we both were wrong.

Coit Tower

My last trip to San Francisco I said I would see things that I have not before. I told myself I would not shoot or drive across the Golden Gate Bridge, I did not. The night I ended up at the Coit Tower was the same night I was out shooting Lombard Street (previous post). I was supposed to take some photos of the city lit up at night, a mix of long exposures etc. Instead I parked and fell asleep in the parking lot near the tower.... fail.

A complete 180 degrees from the above image was this beautiful view:

I was quite amused with all the people in this area, they always make me smile. If you know the area you know what I am referring to ;)

Ok well I may have photographed it from a distance, the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen on the right. At the top of the steep street in the center is Lombard Street.
