2011 Mazda 3

Hey white boy welcome to Detroit. I am going to give you a bright white brand new Mazda 3.

I dazed off and realized that would stick out not like a sore thumb but a thumb that was on fire... bad analogy or whatever but I hope you see what I mean. This lady had no idea that I was going to be driving into the heart of Detroit including all of the dusty corners.

I snapped back as she was explaining that it only had 500 miles on it!!! The last thing I said to her was "if it gets stolen it's covered right?" She replied "why would it get stolen?" Walking away I muttered "no idea, I just don't know the area."

I embraced the car and played rap music loudly with the windows down.

Rewrite an ending that fits

The Lee Plaza Hotel went from a towering symbol of wealth to a towering symbol of Detroit's decay.

Built for the city's rich and powerful, the Lee Plaza still stands today, ravaged by the city's poor and destitute. Like the Michigan Central Station, it is a gut-wrenching reminder of how far the city has fallen from its preposterously prosperous past. The Art Deco landmark also is the site of one of the city's most notorious architectural heists.

Goodbye Photomatix

Goodbye to a software that no longer has a place in my workflow.

I am removing the super HDR look from all of my portfolio images. I just wanted to share an idea of what I am talking about. I like doing HDRs so I had to come to a compromise with myself ;)

Top is the original HDR done with Photomatix and the bottom is the new HDR with Nik HDR Efex Pro.

Let me know what you think. So far the response has been a positive one.
